A visit to Victor

I was delighted to be invited to speak at the Victor Harbor Library AGM on Thursday, August 2nd!

The drive down was drizzly and wind-swept, and, boy, Victor has expanded since last I saw it *cough 20 years ago cough*.  At the AGM I was greeted by a teacher from my old school, Mrs McGill, who told the assembly that the last time she saw me, I was in school uniform *cough which was also about 20 years ago cough*

They were a lovely bunch of people, and laughed in all the right places.  It's the second address I've done where I've noticed that people prick up their ears when you start running through the Fake Psychic Cold-Reading Technique Checklist...

Everybody loves a good umbrella statement, it seems.

And I got swag! With fudge! Fudgy swag!

Thanks so much to Maryanne McGill, the Victor Harbour Library Committee, and the lovely librarian I spoke to afterwards (Renee? Forgive me if I've gotten your name wrong; I'm crap with names).  I had a great time.
